Combining the talents of four young professional musicians the Akina String Quartet provides captivating musical entertainment for weddings, corporate events and other special occasions across Berkshire and the South East of England including Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. The group was established in 2010 by four versatile young musicians each with many years experience of successfully performing at events with other professional groups at engagements UK and beyond. Less than less than a year since its creation the group is quickly establishing a reputation for providing exquisite live music with a touch of sophisticated glamour, making any event memorable.

The Quartet has worked hard to build a diverse selection of string quartet repertoire that spans almost 500 years of eclectic musical history from Motets composed during the Elizabethan Era to present day hits by groups such as Queens of the Stone Age arranged for string quartet. This means that the group’s musical performances can be tailored to any event, and any musical taste with a little input from the client. The girls all have many years experience of playing for live events ranging from appearing with Kanye West to recording with Katherine Jenkins and are also experienced hands at arranging pieces of music by request should you have a specific piece of music in mind for your occasion

The Quartet's members have gained wealth of experience of performing at range of events and celebrations and are at home whether performing to an intimate wedding party or a Banquet Hall full of guests so you can be assured that whatever the occasion your special day is in the of best hands.

We have a strong philosophy of putting you the client at the centre of our work, so, with this in mind one of the group’s members will work with you, from your initial enquiry  upto the event itself to plan and select beautiful music for appropriate points during your event. The group requires a confirmation letter and small deposit to reserve a date and contracts are provided for all engagements to ensure clarity and a professional service for you. Having a strict policy of never paying for a reference or a referral you can be sure that any recommendations are from satisfied customers and reliable sources.
